Ways to Volunteer

At Hospice North Hastings our volunteers are gold! They share their time, give their energy and become an integral part of all of our services.

There are a number of different ways that volunteers can be of assistance.

  • One on one visiting in the home, hospital or nursing home
  • Hospice House shifts (4 hours in length)
  • Office assistance/reception
  • Fundraising
  • Gardening at the Hospice House
  • Vintage on Hastings by Hospice  (working a 3-4 hour shift at our store)

Hospice North Hastings provides Volunteer Luncheons as a way to connect with all their volunteers; to share experiences, to learn from one another, and have a safe place to communicate the life of being a hospice volunteer.  Hospice North Hastings also offers in-service training programs throughout the year for not only new volunteers, but as a refresher for our more seasoned volunteer as well.

The extent of the volunteer involvement is totally up to each person.
